But anyway, let me give you a glimpse of what is there in med school… Is it really a social life – killing machine? Is med school really that hard? Well, here’s what I’ve seen so far.

1. Med school won’t shatter your social life. In fact, I average partying past 12mn 4-10 times a month. The only catch is that your social life is your classmates, coz they are the only ones free after exams.

2. Exams are really difficult. But they are not really 10x more difficult than undergrads exams… Maybe 1.5 times…

3. There are plenty of different kinds of people you’ll meet in med school. Some are nice, but most of them are not. Never depend on first impressions. Some people I met are nice during the first month, and turned out to be “crab mentalist” in the next.

4. Because there’s just too many of you, don’t be shy to approach people and ask them what their names are – over and over again. Don’t get offended also if one of your classmates, despite after 3 introductions, still doesn’t remember your name.

5. Be nice, but don’t be too nice. Don’t be deceived by their angelic faces. Always check their backs for long sharp pointed tails…

I’m actually still bothered by our tuition fee. Everytime I see the paper from ateneo where all the tuition fees and other miscellaneous fee are listed, I get a headache. And also, I have this recent problem. My sister recently bought a condo unit in Boracay. The original plan is, the day after my graduation, my family will be going there for a vacation for 3 days. But like I said, my class in med school will be starting this April 20. That means, I might not be able to join them for the vacation! DARN! That vacation was for my graduation! AND I CANT ATTEND IT! But I’m still hoping that the coordinator of our class in med school will allow me to… I HOPE!

I was actually singing in our WOW Magic Sing when out of the blue, my father came home. Usually my dad goes home when my mom fetch her in his barkadas. When he opened the door, my first reaction was, “WOW! EARLY KA”. Then he said that there is a fire currently happening a few houses away from ours. When he told me the exact location, I wasn’t really scared that much coz I know the place, and it’s actually a bit far from ours, really. Then, I went to my mom’s room. Prior to my dad coming early, my mom already told me that she’ll go to sleep already, and that I’ll just wait for my dad. After waking her up, I told her that I have something to tell her, and that she should not, in any way, panick. After her affirmation, I told her that what my dad said. Then she went out of her room, relaxed. Together, we went out to our backyard and we saw the fire and the smoke looming over the sky. After seeing it, her adrenaline were activated, and she started packing our things.

I did not help her coz I know it only has small chance for the fire to reach our house.

So in connection to what happened. Here are some tips that I personally would like to share.

During fire:

1. Do not shock the people who do not know about the fire. Tell them in a calm way. But not too calm coz he might think you’re just joking. This way, you will have proper minds to plan your next actions.

2. Second, see the fire first. See if it’s controlable or not.

3. If it is controlable, locate the fire extinguisher or water immediately. If there is electricity near it, do not use water coz you might get electricuted in the process. If it is not controlable, locate any young ones or those in capable of escaping from the vicinity. Try to save them, and immediately go to exit. Do not perform CPR in the burning room when the other is fainted. Find a secure place first.

4. If no fireman still yet, immediately call for help when you have escaped the fire.

5. Avoid saving your valuables like cellphone, laptops, etc. if it will hinder you in any way from escaping the fire. Those can be replace, but not your life.

6. If you are incapable of helping someone who is trapped, immediately go to exit, and tell the firefighter about it. Do not force yourself to be a hero even if you can’t.

That’s all I can think of for the moment. I’ll add more if I can think of others.

But of course, we must always remember that what is important is to make sure that fire will not happen. We must always be responsible. Happy New Year everyone!

Unfortunately, this movie is not quiet what I expected. I was supposed to watch this film last December 25, however, due to lack of time, and the exagerrated number of people that went to the cinemas that day, and my sister being sick for the past 3 days, I, or rather we, my sister and I, only managed to watch this film today (last full show). As I was saying, the film somehow lacked certain elements that made me love the first movie. I, admittedly, watch Filipino movies in theatres very rarely because I think the themes of Filipino films are often recycled, or if not, pirated from other not so popular foreign movies, and even sometimes, very popular movies.

I am not saying that this film falls under the category of corny jokes and unwittingly delivered lines, but as I said to my previous post, I am really expecting BIG things from this movie.

But of course, I am not denying the fact that I already saw the full trailer of this film, making some scenes in the movie less exciting. For one, the film is banking, aside from Aiai, on the “quotable quotes” that were made as jokes. Some of these lines were familiar; coming from text messages, books and magazines.

To end this review, I think the film is worth watching enough. If you had seen the first movie, you should not expect much here. Also, avoid seeing the trailer of this film for it spoiled most of the supposedly-funny moments of the film.

I will not be surprised if this movie will not reach what the first release did in the gross income aspect.

Overall, the film is 7/10 for me.

Story was great

Acting was good. Didn’t enjoy much the over-the-top drama scenes. They should’ve shortened it. I was expecting that some of those drama scenes will have a surprise funny lines delivery from Aiai just like in the first movie, but it did not.

The music was ok.

The movie did not surprised me much.
